Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 10, intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a Single Source, for the items listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 334512. The vendor will be Trane U.S. Inc., 3600 Pammel Creek RD, La Crosse, WI 54601-7511 Description of equipment requirements: Trane CGAM 26-Ton Air-cooled Chiller 1 Each The Dayton VA Medical Center utilizes a 26-ton Trane chiller for Bldg. 408 on its main campus; this procurement is a direct placement for the singular chiller, which has met the end of its serviceable life. Current infrastructure (electric, piping, control system, etc ) of the building is only compatible with Trane 26-ton chillers. Procurement of another name brand/model would be cost-prohibitive as the entire HVAC support system would need be replaced. A firm fixed price contract with no option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
