Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE

This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation. The Carl T. Hayden Medical Center located at 650 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012 has a requirement renovate the Community Living Center located within the first and second floor of Building 16. The intent of this project will modernize the facility rooms and halls. Work will be performed in a functioning hospital environment. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work. The work includes, but is not limited to general construction and the replacement of: wall tiles, epoxy floors, sound dampening sheetrock, wash basins, hazardous ceiling tile, lighting fixtures, interior doors, wall panels, window shades, hallway and room paint, cove bases, flooring, handrails, signage, mirrors, shower rooms, cabinetry, nurse stations, carpet, med gas mains, bed management solution, code blue systems, wireless staff telephone, patient entertainment system, remote patient observation system, power fail phone system, clinical information system, telemetry monitoring, hand hygiene monitoring system, pneumatic tube system, wander guard, VAV boxes, temperature controls to DDC, reheat piping from local header to VAV circuits, ball valves, fire dampeners as needed, and test and balance newly installed DDC controls.

All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings (when available) of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes. This project will be procured as 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and must be listed as verified in the Small Business Administration (SBA) VetCert database at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a Size Standard of $45.0M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The VA will issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about 27 November 2023 via Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/. A site visit will be scheduled, and the date/time/location will be provided in the solicitation.
