Description
This solicitation is for the acquisition of professional water system operation and maintenance services for eleven water systems owned by the USDA Forest Service, Pike and San Isabel National Forests, Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands (PSICC). The PSICC is responsible for the safe and legal operation of various water systems across the Forest. Contractor shall be the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for all water systems within this contract. The Operator in Responsible Charge shall have a minimum level “B” water treatment license and level “1” distribution license valid for the duration of the contract in the state of Colorado. Contractor and/or their employees shall perform the duties of Water Treatment Plant Operator for the water treatment systems.
All water systems operated by the PSICC are Non-Community water systems of varying size and complexity that must be operated in accordance with Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations 5 CCR (Colorado Code of Regulations) 1002-11, CDPHE (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment) Regulation No. 100, CDPHE (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment) Regulation No. 31, CDPHE (Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment) Regulation No. 21 and any other governing drinking water regulations. Drinking water is provided at these sites to Forest Service employees, volunteers, and the general public. The Forest Service is required to have a state certified water operator for all public water systems in the state of Colorado. Operation of the NC- TNC (Non-Community, Transient Non-Community) and TNC (Transient Non-Community) public and administrative water systems are included in this contract.
Total Length of Contract: One (1) base year + four (4) option years
Base Year: January – December 2025
