Description
PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: This announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation announcement of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. A formal solicitation will follow this announcement with full details, including a response deadline, the complete price proposal schedule, the construction plans & specifications, instructions to offerors, and the evaluation factors/basis for award.
OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THIS WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE AND THE FORMAL SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT.
PLANNED SOLICITATION: The final Solicitation for this project will be announced anytime between 15 and 30 days after the posting of this pre-solicitation. The contract type will be firm-fixed-price.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of maintenance dredging approximately 757,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from Placement Areas 1110S W-C, 1088S W-C, 1056S W-C, and 1028S W-C which shall be placed at Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms beaches. The work is located in Charleston County, South Carolina. The work includes final grading of the sites and complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammals Protection Act.
MAGNITUDE OF WORK: $5,000,000 TO $10,000,000
The contractor must be registered in WWW.SAM.GOV prior to award of the solicitation.
