Description
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction services. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Southeastern Fruit and Tree Nut Research facility located in Byron, GA., has a requirement (subject to the availability of funds) to Replace the R Panel Roofing on the North Headhouse and connecting breezeways.
The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work in strict accordance with these Statement of Work/Specifications for replacing the R panel roofing on the North Headhouse in its entirety, Install 24ga mechanically seamed metal roof system per manufacturer’s specifications, replacing the roofing on the breezeways connecting the four Greenhouses and the North Headhouse, and replacing the entire overhang roofing attached to the North Headhouse that protects agricultural equipment. All materials shall be provided by a single roofing manufacturer; manufacturer’s written acceptance of compatible, alternate materials will be considered. The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials for the described project in strict conformity with safety, standards, laws, statutes, and ordinances for a federal facility.
The solicitation number is 12405B22R0023 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions.
