Description
This is a 15 day synopsis notice to Industry, in anticipation of a potential future solicitation posting. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) will be posting a solicitation for performing maintenance, repair, and modernization efforts for CVN 68 Class and CVN 78 Class Aircraft Carriers Private Sector Maintenance (PSM) home-ported in and visiting the Pacific Northwest (PNW) Region, Puget Sound, Washington area. NAVSEA intends to solicit this subject requirement as a full and open competition utilizing an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that utilizes Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Completion form, Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), and Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). The contract will have a five(5) year base and single year option.
This will be a competitively awarded contract that will select a single contractor to execute work outside the nuclear propulsion plant while coordinating with the Naval Supervising Activity (NSA) to properly integrate its efforts with nuclear propulsion plant work. It will also include propulsion plant systems and components as designated by the Supervisor exclusive of nuclear primary and systems as defined in NAVSEAINST C9210.04 (series). The Contractor shall perform inspections, examinations, analysis, repairs incidental to such and make recommendations in the areas of maintenance planning and/or repairs as requested on naval propulsion and auxiliary machinery associated with high pressure steam propulsion plants, non-nuclear steam plant systems of nuclear powered Aircraft Carriers, and aviation systems associated with these naval propulsion plants. It is anticipated that this contract vehicle will support emergent and continuous maintenance efforts and Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) scheduled availabilities.
No response is required at this time. Please expect a formal solicitation in the May time period.
