THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL –


Defense Health Agency (DHA) Northeastern Markets Contracting Division (NM-CD) on behalf of the Department of Pathology of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda MD, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Informatics, Inc, 2000 Holiday Dr, Charlottesville, VA 22901. 


The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting “Other than full and Open Competition” in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 – Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.  This contract is intended to meet the mission of the Department of Pathology’s requirement to acquire services for Point of Care Testing operations, web-based software for healthcare data systems. Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Informatics, Inc is registered in SAM.gov.

The NAICS code for this requirement is 541512 Computer Systems Design Services with a Small Business Size Standard: $30,000,000. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.
