Description
This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a notice of the Government’s intent to exercise FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, under contract 70Z02320PG702700 to CAE USA, Inc. This extends the period of performance end date from August 06, 2022 to January 06, 2023. These services are critical for the continued operation and maintenance of the USCG-owned C-27J Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) currently located at the CAE USA Inc. Arlington Training Center in Arlington, TX. The USCG announces its intent to exercise this option award modification on a sole source basis with CAE USA, Inc. under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1): Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
The specific requirements that makes CAE USA, Inc. the only responsible source is that they are the only source capable of providing services to support the Government-Owned C- 27J OFT since it is the only company that can operate and maintain the OFT without significant costs incurred with packing, shipping, and rebuilding the OFT.
Respondents are advised that the USCG will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. All costs associated with responding to this notice will be solely at the responding party’s expense.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
