LS-DYNA Software License for SPK Dam Safety Production Center

Description:     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District is issuing this announcement for the acquisition of LS-Dyna Software for the Dam Safety Production Center. 

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ansys, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a Single Source. A sole source justification for the delivery of this proprietary software has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Only one company is authorized to sell LS-Dyna Software Licenses.

This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.  All responses received within 5 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Responses should be emailed to the Government point of contact for this acquisition.  Responses should include the firm's Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and Tax Identification Number (TIN).  Firms should identify business size (small business, other than small business, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for NAICS Code 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services, which is $30 million. The PSC for this action is 7A21, Business Application Software.
