JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
FOG SEALING AND ROAD STRIPING

The National Park Service, Joshua Tree National Park, has a requirement for fog sealing and restriping of 13 miles of the parks road. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as identified in the project specifications and associated documents provided as attachments to the solicitation.

The work of this contract consists of all supervision, labor, tools, and equipment necessary to fog seal and restripe 13 miles of park road starting at the North Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park located in Twentynine Palms. The contractor will restripe the road with same marking layout that currently exists to include double yellow line with black contrast striping, edge lines, and turn lane lines. All pullouts along the road will also be fog sealed. All intersections with adjoining roads will be fog sealed to 50 feet or in the case of dirt roads to the end of the pavement.

Site work is anticipated to begin on or about September 12, 2022 and shall be completed no later than 245 days after contract award.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 237310, with a corresponding size standard of $39.5 million in annual gross receipts for the past three years. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall not be considered.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on or around Friday, July 29, 2022 by electronic means only and can be downloaded along with all related attachments from the Sam website at http://www.sam.gov. The RFP will close 30 days from the actual date of issuance. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP.

An organized Site Visit is anticipated and the date and time released with the solicitation.

The Government intends to award a single, fixed price contract. Award selection will be made on a Best Value determination made after consideration of price and factors other than price.
