Description

Solicitation: Description of Services:
Medical Readiness Contracting Office-West (MRCO-W) Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking a non-personal service contract to provide the inspection, assembly, and packaging of decontaminated/cleaned surgical instrument sets in support of the Sterilization/Processing/Distribution (SPD) Section under the Department of Operative Services 
(DOPS) at the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) located on Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  Services provided under this contract shall be as comprehensive as Government-supplied facilities, equipment, and support services permit. For every official “Surge Event” identified by BAMC, the Contractor shall independently provide an appropriate number of contract personnel to perform services, adhere to all regulatory requirements, monitor onsite operations, manage the onsite workflow, and provide necessary administration to perform services to the standards and acceptable quality levels identified the Statement of Work (SOW). The SPD Section shall issue the Contractor decontaminated/cleaned instrument sets for inspection, assembly, and packaging.  The Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) anticipates the volume of instrument sets as ranging from 200-230 for every official “Surge Event” identified by BAMC.  A set is defined as a group of instruments classified as having a unique entry in the CensiTrac system.  All services shall be performed onsite.  Neither the Contractor, nor its contract personnel, aren't permitted to remove any government-owned material from the MTF at any given time. This requirement is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 622110.
