Sasabe Forward Operating Base Trash Removal Services

This is a presolicitation notice for a noncompetitive contract action.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, requires trash removal services at its Sasabe Forward Operating Base located at:

The period of performance will include a base year and four option years.  The period of performance for each contract period will be as follows:

Base Period:  09/01/24-08/31/25
Option Year 1: 09/01/25-08/31/26
Option Year 2:  09/01/26-08/31/27
Option Year 3:  09/01/27-08/31/28
Option Year 4:  09/01/28-08/31/29 

The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract on a noncompetitive basis to the following source due to the fact that no other sources have been identified that serve this remote location in Sasabe, AZ.

A Request for Quotations (RFQ) is expected to be issued on or about August 14, 2024, with an estimated closing date of August 20, 2024.  The RFQ will not be made available through SAM, but may be requested by interested vendors by contacting the contracting officer, Eric Neckel, at eric.r.neckel@cbp.dhs.gov.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. 

It is anticipated that award will be made on or about August 23, 2023.

The applicable NAICS code is 562111 - Solid Waste Collection.  The corresponding size standard is $47 million.

In order to be considered for award, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to the solicitation closing date. Interested vendors not already registered in SAM are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible.
