Description
The purpose of this solicitation is to acquire construction services for the Fire Alarm Replacement Project at the Thomas D. Lambros Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Youngstown, Ohio. A pre-proposal meeting and site visit is scheduled for February 15, 10AM EST. You will find all of the information needed to register for this meeting and submit your bid in the two documents attached to this solicitation notice. This solicitation is set aside for Women-Owned Small Businesses. Full project details can be found inside the attached drawings and project specifications. Project summary below:
A complete replacement of the existing fire alarm system and its components is needed due to the age (25+ years) of the Fire Alarm system. This project will include the supply and installation of a new firefighters’ radio communications system. Additionally:
- The existing fire alarm system shall remain in operation throughout construction until the new fire alarm system is operational and accepted by the GSA.
- A new fire command center will be built.
- A new CSO office and a BAS and Storage room will be built.
- Contractor shall provide a fire watch while the fire alarm and/or fire protection system is off-line.
- A hazardous materials survey has already been done. See the end of these specification for the survey and report.
