Description
Lighting:
Item 1: Forward Upper Zone A/B/D Light Bar: One 48” to 60” wide L.E.D. lightbar (vehicle dependent) shall be installed on the cab, facing forward.
Item 2: Forward Lower Zone A Warning Lights: Two red L.E.D. warning lights, with mounting flanges, shall be provided at on the front of the vehicle, forward facing, one per side.
Item 3: Forward Zone B/D Warning Lights: Two dual color (red/White) L.E.D. warning lights, with mounting flanges, shall be provided on the front corners of the vehicle, side facing, one per side.
Item 4: Aft Lower Zone C Warning Lights: Truck - Whelen DUO Color or equivalent dual color L.E.D. warning lights shall be provided at the rear tailgate of the vehicle, rear facing, one per side.
Item 5: Aft Lower Zone C Warning Lights: Truck - Two dual color (red/White) L.E.D. warning lights, with mounting flanges, shall be provided on the rear corners of the vehicle, side facing, one per side.
Item 6: Siren Speaker w PA System and Radio Rebroadcast: One 100-watt siren speaker shall be provided and mounted in a location that is not obstructed or vulnerable to being impacted. The speaker shall be wired to the siren/switch controller.
Item 7: Siren/Switch Controller: Siren with 9-switch light controller (Minimum), Traffic Advisor controller (if required), siren controller and P/A system
Electronic siren, with switching and rear directional controller shall be provided and mounted in the cab center console in a location convenient to both the driver and anyone seated in the passenger seat.
Item 8: Radio Console: Vehicle specific mounting plates and capable of housing all the appropriate components to include:
- Emergency lighting and siren controller
- 4 12-volt power points to include USB charging ports on two of the ports
- Face plates for three BK or Forest designated two-way radio
- Blank face plates to cover the remaining openings
- 1 Magnetic Mic Clip
- 2 Side Mount Arm Rests
- 2 Internal Cup Holders
- Cell Phone Booster (equipment will be provided by the Government)
Item 9: FS Radio Harness Installation: Pre-Wire for district radios
The chassis cab interior shall be wired with one (1) wiring bundles for connecting agency mobile radios.
Item 10: Aftermarket Wiring and Power Source/Timed Battery Disconnect: A heavy duty timed battery disconnect and fuse block shall be installed that will automatically disconnect the vehicle battery from the aftermarket electrical systems so that the battery is left with enough capacity to start the engine. A Power Patrol Generation 2 or equivalent meets this requirement. Patrol Power or equivalent wiring harness that has wires with printed function every 6” is required.
Item 11: Striping: Scotchlite 3M reflective sheeting or approved equal. Scotchlite 3M Non-Reflective black and reflective white lettering. Must follow the attached striping illustrations.
Item 12: Vehicle manuals/diagrams: all owner’s manuals, wiring diagrams and warranty information for installed items shall be provided to the Government in either electronic (thumb drives) and hard copy notebook format.
