COMET Bridge Extension J&A

The United States Forces Command (FORSCOM) requests an extension modification to Contract W91247-23-C-0002, on a sole source bridge contract, with incumbent SAWTST LLC., 169 Hillwood Circle, Newnan, Georgia 30263- 1088, on a firm-fixed-price type basis, for an additional period of performance of four (4) months and two (2) one-month options, for the United Stated Army Forces Command (FORSCOM). This short-term extension is being requested due to receipt of GAO Solicitation Protest B-421641, dated April 27, 2023, based on the date of GAO notification to the U.S. Army Legal SeNices, Contract Litigation and Intellectual Property Division (KLIP).

This extension will be utilized to continue performance of existing COMET support seNices after the expiration of current bridge contract W91247-23-C-0002 on 30 April 2023. Contract W91247-23-C-0002 was awarded as a bridge contract to contract W91247-17-C-0027 to allow time for MICC-Fort Bragg time to complete a competitive re-procurement under solicitation W91247-22-R-0017. Contract W91247-17-C-0027 was awarded as a 100% Set Aside for SeNice-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The Government projects award for the extension modification by 30 April 2023, utilizing fiscal year 2023, Operations and Maintenance, Army funds.
