Do not submit a Proposal. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not, at this time, seeking proposals or quotes, and therefore, will not accept, review, or evaluate unsolicited proposals or quotes received in response hereto. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or, reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. Building upon the success of the Mobile Application Cloud Migration (MACM) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) hosted in the VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) , VA’s Office of Information and Technology (OIT) seeks to operate, and perform adaptive, perfective, corrective, and preventive maintenance upon, the “Connected Care Infrastructure as a Service” (CC IAAS), (formerly known as MACM) using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, techniques, and concepts. The VA CC IAAS utilizes the VAEC to provide compute spaces for: responsive websites, middleware (services supporting websites and mobile applications), commercial off-the-shelf products, and databases.
VA is seeking responses to the questions in Section B. below from interested parties for the ongoing sustainment of the VA VA CC IaaS which will be hosted within the VAEC using government furnished cloud capacity. Please provide responses to the questions below as well as any additional comments, feedback, information, or questions related to this request. The Government is seeking as much information as possible and a complete response from industry to this RFI during this market research activity which may assist the Government in developing its acquisition strategy and finalizing any PWS.
