Description
INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Expand Emergency Department at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center located at 2360 E Pershing Blvd, Cheyenne WY 82001
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Cheyenne VA Medical Center (VAMC) Project 422-303, Expand Emergency Department Construction. The work will require construction of a third-floor addition on the North side of the building. Work includes selective demolition, general construction, and alterations (including necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items). Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required demolition and construction work on this project including Architectural and Site Modifications, Fire Protection Systems, Plumbing Systems, Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, and Telecommunication Systems.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 million. The solicitation will be issued around early October 2024. The period of performance is approximately 730 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00.
