N0002421C5412 Contract Modification Pre-award Synopsis

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a modification to Contract N00024-21-C-5412 to Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD), 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, AZ 85756-9367, on a sole source basis, to add one additional Option Period (12 months) for facility and all services to hold and issue government owned property that is used to provide support to both the Close-In Weapons System (CIWS) MK 15 or MK 49 Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) Guided Missile Launcher System (GMLS) product lines.  Both space and services to manage the existing inventory of government operations and maintenance supplies and residual property as well as future residual property within the Approved Property System of Record (APSR). RMD is the only qualified source to provide these services without a duplication in costs.   

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
