Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit and award a fixed price award, on a sole source basis to A3 Systems (CAGE Code 7D4R3).

This requirement will be for the procurement of the Composite Repair Sets with Part Number (P/N) 70-700-CRK-042, NSN 4920-01-590-6844, in support of the H-1, H-60 and Foreign Military Sales Programs.

The Government intends to procure the above items under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Composite Repair Set is the only Navy approved equipment fielded to support multiple aircraft platforms in the fleet. The Composite Repair Set is the approved Navy/Marine Corps support equipment required for the maintenance to repair composite materials. Integrated Logistics Support has been completed for this equipment and the fleet has the appropriate technical manuals and parts provisioning in place. The H-1 and H-60 programs currently have Composite Repair Sets fielded and in use at several locations. This equipment is required to repair composite materials on various aircraft.

This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
