Description
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Procurement Office requires companies capable of and qualified to provide Daily Commute (DC) and/or Special Needs (SPEN/SPED) bus transportation services in Europe (Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom).
The purpose of this Special Notice – Request For Information (RFI) announcement is to invite interested parties to participate in an Industry day event to be held in Vicenza, Italy, 31 January 2024. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 485410, School and Employee Bus Transportation.

Purpose:
- Conduct market research in the Transportation Industry.
- Inform Industry – provide an overview of the DoDEA’s student transportation requirement for the pending solicitations for new FY24 contracts in Europe; discuss changes to the solicitation process; and obtain industry input/feedback regarding the solicitation.
- Communicate the regulatory requirements for prospective Offerors to get an award.
- Use information gained for acquisition planning purposes to refine the requirements/solicitations development process.
- Provide an opportunity for questions and answers pertaining to the solicitation.
Guidelines/Instructions/Information:
Interested parties will be limited to two (2) representatives (per company) and must notify DoDEA. If you are interested in attending, please send an email with “DoDEA-Europe Industry Day Attendance-[company name]” in the subject line no later than Wednesday, 10 January 2024, 1300 hours Eastern Standard Time (EST), to Marcia Lee at Marcia.Lee@dodea.edu and Adwoa Essel-Akoli at Adwoa.Essel-Akoli@dodea.edu. In addition to the requested information in the subject line, the email should include the attendee's first and last name, organization name & address, company position/title, email address, and telephone number. The Industry Day will be unclassified and open to the public, and there is no registration fee.
This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. Attendance at this Industry Day is not mandatory. The RFI does not constitute a request to submit a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP), or a promise to issue an RFQ/RFP in the future, and it does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any services nor is DoDEA seeking proposals in response to this posting. DoDEA will not accept unsolicited quotes/bids/proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI or subsequent industry day; all costs associated with responding to this RFI or attending the DoDEA-Europe Industry Day will be solely at the interested party's expense. Submissions will not be returned. Failure to respond to this RFI or participate in the industry day does not preclude participation in any future RFQ/RFP, issued. If an RFQ/RFP is issued, it will be synopsized on the Contract Opportunities website at https://sam.gov. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this and other DoDEA’s requirements.
