Description

PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT Recycled Material Pickup To keep Fort Harrison Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center s solid waste weight decreasing, a collective recycling program is needed. GENERAL: The contractor is to provide all personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials and vehicles necessary for collection, removal, and proper disposal of all recyclable materials at the VA Medical Center and its Sleep Lab. Contractor will be responsible for empting all bins, both internal and external to the building. VA staff will not be utilized in this contract. Locations of Performance: VA Medical Center VA Sleep Lab 3687 Veterans Drive 2271 Deerfield Lane Fort Harrison MT 59636 Helena MT 59601 SPECIFICATIONS: The contractor shall provide all needed bins to be used under this contract. Bins shall be stackable to reduce the space needed to store them within the work areas. Bins (three each per location) must be labeled (Plastic, Cans, and Paper) for their appropriate waste streams in an easily identifiable and legible way with a hinge or slide lid for quick access. Each bin should be no more than 20 gallons but no less than 15 gallons; they should be made of material that is easy to clean. All recycle bins shall be kept clean and will be cleaned and/or replaced in order to present a professional appearance. The Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) will have ultimate determination as to cleanliness of all recycling bins. Any trash accidently placed in any recycling bin will be the responsibility of the contractor to properly dispose of. Existing bins may be utilized during this contract for areas already set up for recycling. The Contractor will be responsible for cleanliness and replacement of the bins (including bins currently on site) if they become broken or are missing. The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, equipment, personal protection equipment, tools, materials and vehicles necessary for collection, removal, and proper disposal of all recyclable materials. Contractor vehicles are not to be left idling while on station.
