Request for Interested and Capable Sources for Technical Editorial Services

General Information:

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aviation Safety Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Human Factors Research Division, (AAM-500)/Aerospace Medical Research Division (AAM-600)/Offices of the Director (AAM-003) is conducting a Sources Sought Market Survey seeking Interested and Capable Parties to support its requirements to publish technical documents according to specific ePublishing requirements; including but not limited to Section 508 compliance. 

This effort requires a Support Services Contractor to provide technical editorial and publishing support to CAMI. 

The contractor must provide quality technical editing services to the CAMI AAM-500 Aerospace Human Factors, AAM-600 Aerospace Medical Research Division, and AAM-003.  The contractor must furnish and make available all personnel, supplies, equipment, materials, data, facilities, and services necessary to assist in accomplishing its mission.  As directed by the FAA, the contractor may also be required to interface with FAA authors, Technical Monitors, and Contracting Officer’s Representatives (COR).

Response to this Market Survey:

All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead.  No type font less than 12-point may be used.  Responses must be received no later than 3:30 P.M, Central Standard Time on June 6, 2022. 

This notice is also being used to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the requirement amongst Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses or 8(a) Certified Firms. Interested firms are required to submit a copy of their SBA 8(a) Certification Letter or Self-Certify the Small Business Classification and Size Standard with their Capability Statement.

All submittals, including attachments, are to be submitted electronically to the following email address: ardra.m.vardaman@faa.gov.  Please submit in a portable document format (pdf); however, Microsoft Word is acceptable. 

Any information provided under this market survey is for informational purposes only and will not be released.  Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked.  No evaluation of vendors will occur and vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise of future business with the FAA.

All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information.  Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested party’s expense.
