Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future.  This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service.  Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice.  The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder.  Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued.  If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) through sam.gov. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the GPE for additional information pertaining to this requirement. 

Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small business or procured through full and open competition.  Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside.  We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price. (Ref: FAR 19.502)

The 410th Contracting Support Brigade/Regional Contracting Center – Americas, in support of the US Army South is issuing this sources sought as a means of conducting market research to identify vendors having an interest and resources to provide Armored Commercial Passenger-Carrying Vehicle (ACPV) in support of U.S. personnel transportation requirements in El Salvador, Central America.

  1. The applicable NAICS code is 532111
  2. Questions regarding this Sources Sought announcement shall be submitted no later than 10 AUG 22 by 4:00 PM central time (CT). Verbal questions will not be accepted. All questions MUST be in writing via email to Contracting Officer, robert.l.sheridan10.civ@army.mil and Contract Specialist, Benjamin Guerrero via email at benjamin.guerrero.civ@army.mil.   3. If your firm has the potential capacity to provide the requested supplies and services under the SOW, please provide the following information:
    1. Business name, address, email address, web site address, telephone number, DUNS number, CAGE code, business size and a statement regarding small business socioeconomic status (ie., SDB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.). Small businesses must ensure that their sam.gov representations and certifications, and small business profile reflect the stated socioeconomic status.
    2. A brief capabilities statement (not to exceed 1 page) demonstrating the capabilities in reference to this requirement.  A generic capability statement is not acceptable.  No particular format is mandated.  The Government prefers that your firm submits its response in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or a combination of both and the document must be searchable.
