Description

This is a source sought notice - Request for Information (RFI). This is not a solicitation announcement for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests.

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) San Diego, CA seeks information from west coast sources that can support the upcoming YD-254; FY-23 Regular Overhaul. Contractor to accomplish depot level repairs and hull preservation to the 100 ton floating crane (YD-254). The project availability dates are 26 September 2023 through 29 March 2024, with an estimated six months in dry-dock. Dry-docking does not have to be in a NAVSEA certified dry-dock.

Other considerations for this docking: 100 Ton Floating Crane, Hull Identification Number: YD-254, Length Overall: 175 Feet, Maximum Beam: 76 Feet 5 Inches (including fenders), Craft Draft: 3 Feet 8 Inches (Forward) 4 Feet 8 Inches (Aft), Craft Displacement: 1,420 Long Tons.

This RFI is open to all business concerns that are qualified under North American Industry Class System (NAICS) code 336611 (Shipbuilding and Repairing). All interested sources are requested to provide answers to the following:

I. General Information

1. Name and address to include point of contact (phone number and email address).

3. If Small Business identify status (e.g., women owned, HUBZone, 8(a), veteran owned, or service-disabled veteran owned)

4. Commercial and Entity Code (CAGE)

5.  Does your company hold an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) and/or Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA)?  If so, what is the ABR No. and/or MSRA No.?

6.  Does your company have a Quality Management System (QMS) manual in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Item 009-04 approved by a Regional Maintenance Center?

II. Docking Availability Information

1. What is the size of the dry-dock facility?

2. Is your facility available during the above mentioned timeframe? If not, when is it available? Where exactly is the dry-dock located?

3.  Is the dry-dock facility certified by NAVSEA?
