Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9 Central Region, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 204, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129 will be soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 03/05/2024 for construction services for the following project: Project # 596-24-2 - Install New CO2 Monitoring System for Boiler Plant at Lexington VA Health Care System, Troy Bowling Campus, Lexington, KY 40502. SET-ASIDE: 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 NAICS: 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: $19 Million PROJECT OVERVIEW: The vendor will provide all material, tools, expertise, and labor to install a new CO2 monitoring system for the boiler plant. Some work will be required after standard administrative hours, work may be limited to periods shorter than a standard shift for specific items in the project. This is a medical environment, and the contractor shall take into consideration infection control, demolition noise, environmental dust control, and specialized facility requirements as a medical environment requires. Using the available space, it will be necessary to phase as indicated by the contract documents. The hospital shall always remain in continuous operation and any utility interruptions shall be planned and executed as required, so as to minimize staff or patient disruptions, at the Robley Rex VAMC, Louisville, KY 40206 for the above-mentioned Project # 596-24-2 - Install New CO2 Monitoring System for Boiler Plant. Work includes, but not limited to demolition, general construction, HVAC, plumbing, building envelope, electrical, and finishes. Anticipated completion time from Notice-to-Proceed is 45 calendar days for the entire project. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Apparent successful offerors must have a current VETS 4212 report on file with the Department of Labor, registered in SAM, and must apply for and receive verification. from the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) of their SDVOSB status in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.709 by submission of documentation of veteran status, ownership, and control sufficient to establish appropriate status, offerors must be both visible and verified by the Department of Veteran Affairs VetCert at the time of submission of proposal. Failure to be both verified by VetCert and visible on https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/ at the time of proposal submission will result in the proposal being deemed nonresponsive. All offerors are urged to contact the VetCert and submit the requirement documents to obtain VetCert verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so.
