Six Degree of Freedom (6DoF)

The Naval Air Warfare Center ? Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to issue a 5 year Indefinitely Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed-Fee (FFP) solicitation for the procurement of Six Degree of Freedom (6DoF) Inertial Measuring Telemetry Equipment (IMU) and associated hardware, as well as well as calibrations of the equipment. These units provide the test team with the data needed to quantify weapons separation characteristics and analyze the data in order to recommend fleet envelope. These units will test, perform, and develop the operational limits so that fleet aircrew can deploy weapons safely and effectively. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the authority permitting full and open competition under FAR 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.
