Description
Replace Gutters on Out Buildings- Project # 610A4-24-504 Part I: General Information A. Introduction VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System Fort Wayne Campus, Indiana has a requirement for Replace Gutters on All Outbuildings B. Background Ft. Wayne Campus requires replacement of gutters and downspouts, repair any damage all outbuildings. The existing gutters have leaks and are damaged in places. C. Scope The vendor will supply trained personnel to remove the existing gutters and install new gutter systems to each of the Out-Buildings. Out Buildings include Building 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, T4, T5, and T6 which all require removal of the existing gutters and installation of new gutters matching the paint scheme of the existing structures. Part II: Work Requirements Work must be performed between 0700 and 1600 on Saturdays and Sundays only. Work will consist of removal of existing gutters and installation of new gutters. Technical Requirements The Contractor shall install new gutters to each of the aforementioned buildings. The new gutters must reasonably match the existing gutter systems in place. Unless otherwise stated, follow the VA Master Specs located at Technical Information Library (TIL) - Office of Construction & Facilities Management (va.gov) - NAICS Code 238170 Downspout, gutter, and gutter guard installation. B. Deliverables New gutters systems with down spouts attached to the listed buildings with professional services. Part III: Supporting Information A. Security The contractor, their personnel, and their subcontractors shall be subject to the Federal laws, regulations, standards, and VA Directives and Handbooks regarding information and information system security as delineated in this contract. B. Travel To local site to prep the area and provide professional roofing services in accordance with VA design specifications. C. Place of Performance Building 1 VA Northern Indiana Health Care System Ft. Wayne campus located at 2121 Lake Ave., Ft. Wayne, IN 46805 D. Period of Performance The period of performance is 60 days from the designated date on the notice to proceed through delivery of completion. E. Special Requirement The contractor shall provide a warranty. The warranty shall cover the products/materials installed and workmanship. Any future leaks shall be repaired by the contractor for the remaining warranty period unless the leak is deemed at fault of the VA. Any warranty repairs must be completed by the contractor within 72 hours from the notice of the leak. Part IV: Safety: The Contractor shall be thoroughly familiar will all rules and regulations governing safety. A 30-hour OSHA Competent Person shall be present for all work and all additional workers shall have a minimum of a 10-hour OSHA Certification. All welders, pipefitters, electricians, etc. performing work must present a valid certification for their respectable trade. The contractor shall be required to follow all ICRA requirements that are put in place. The contractor shall provide all ICRA supplies and equipment.
