Description
The USNO requires an ensemble of the most stable and accurate atomic frequency standards to maintain the DoD Master Clock and support the warfighter. Additionally, the USNO requires that these frequency standards have excellent long term reliability and availability. The UFA210A microcoax cable manufactured by Carlisle Interconnect is composed of layers of copper, silver, and steel with a static bend radios of 0.38 inch and dynamic bend radius of 2 inches and is the only cable that meets this requirement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501 (a) a Sol Source Acquisition.
Award of a firm fixed price contract is anticipated. a determination by the Government not to compete
this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice
