Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for Falls Lake Service Bridge, Clean & Repaint, Wake Forest, NC

The project consists of cleaning and repainting girders and support members of the steel bridge superstructure as required by the drawings and specifications.

•    Falls Lake Dam service bridge has one span that is 124’-0” in length. The width of the travel lane of the bridge is 12’-0”.  
•    Work will consist of cleaning existing steel superstructure and bearing surfaces by blasting (SSPC SP 6). The existing paint is a        vinyl-based paint.
•    Repaint with a moisture cure urethane paint system specified in the contract (System No. 23-D). 
•    Work will require under bridge work access platform and containment system. 
•    Contractor must have certification from the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) QP-1.

This solicitation is Unrestricted. 

The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. 

The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $500,000 and $1,00,000.00.  

This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 11 May 2023.  

The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc.) will be provided.  Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.  

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310–Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and the size standard is $39,500,000.00.  

Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible to receive an award from any Government solicitation.
