Description
NOTICE FOR 12 MONTH EXTENSION TO CONTRACT W31P4Q-19-C-0071 FOR THE ACQUISITION OF ADDITIONAL AIR-TO-GROUND MISSILE SYSTEM (AGMS) ENGINEERING SERVICES AND ASSOCIATED TRAVEL
This synopsis is published in accordance with FAR 5.101 and is not a request for proposal or information.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command—Redstone has a requirement to solicit and award a 12-month extension to Contract W31P4Q-19-C-0071 for the acquisition of additional AGMS Engineering Services and associated travel in support of the Laser HELLFIRE and Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM). The contractor shall provide AGMS Engineering Services which consist of program management, engineering, product assurance, logistics, configuration management, test/evaluation, and production engineering support required to maintain the capability of the Laser HELLFIRE and JAGM in support of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, foreign military sales, and other customers.
The 12-month contract extension will be awarded in accordance with FAR 52.217-9 on a cost-plus-fixed-fee basis for the engineering service hours and on a cost-no-fee basis for the associated travel. The resultant award will consist four 12-month options for a total of 161,000 engineering service hours and associated travel in support of the Laser HELLFIRE and JAGM.
This requirement is restricted to Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC), 5600 Sand Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32819-8907 (Cage Code 04939). LMC is the single source possessing the unique knowledge and expertise required to manage and update the peculiar hardware design, tooling, and test/inspection equipment required to produce and inspect the Laser HELLFIRE and JAGM to resolve problems promptly as they occur.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This contract action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements."
