Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCAD LKE) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Waygate Technologies - Bake Hughes (CAGE:052B7) for the procurement of the Defect Measurement Video Borescope, 6mm, Part Number XLGOB612M-N, NSN 6650-01-583-8302, for the FMS Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF). The Defect Measurement Video Borescope, 6mm provides the means required to inspect, analyze, and record data for defects found on the internal surface areas of aircraft engine/airframe.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements” for this action. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
