Description
Performance Requirements: The Contractor shall:
- During the growing season (April 1st through November 1st) all lawn areas shall be mowed and trimmed to maintain a height no more than three inches (3”). All hard surface areas, sidewalks and curbs shall be cleared of all clippings after each visit.
- Edging turf at sidewalks and other paved areas. All sidewalk lawn edges shall be mechanically edged at every other mowing visit during the growing season.
- Control of weeds and other undesirable growth in cracks, joints and edges on roadways, sidewalks, parking lots, plazas and around buildings will be performed during the growing season.
- Cut back of ornamental grasses in early spring season shall be done and debris from the beds, leaves, and other debris including trash will be cleaned up and removed.
- Trimming of all trees for clearance of vehicles and around the flagpole shall be done initially and then as needed.
- Leaves shall be raked and removed from all lawn, tree, shrub, ground cover, flower bed and hard surface areas during the Fall leaf season.
- During the winter (1 November through March 31st) Snow removal and salting shall be provided, as required to maintain driveways, parking lots and sidewalks clear.
