Description
The 76th AMXG request the purchase of 480 gallons of MIL-PRF-85285 Type IV, Fed-Std-595 Gray Color #16515 in accordance with (IAW) Technical Order (TO) 1E-3A-23.
2. The requested description/specifications are outlined below.
a. The MIL-PRF-85285 Type IV, Fed-Std-595 Gray Color #16515 shall be one (1) of the following Brand Name kits:
1) Sherwin-Williams Company, 2.5 Gallon Kit
• Each kit shall include the following material:
One (1) gallon of base (PN: F94L4216)
One (1) gallon of curing agent (PN: CMO844H01)
Two (2) quarts of reducer (PN: CMO844AR6)
• Quantity: 192 kits (480 gallons)
• Delivery: Two (2) shipments of 96 kits
2) PRC – Desoto International, Inc. PPG Aerospace, 4 Gallon Kit
• Each kit shall include the following material:
Two (2) gallon of base (PN: CA9800/F16515)
One (1) gallon curing solution (PN: CA9800Z)
One (1) gallon thinner (PN: CA9800CT1)
• Quantity: 120 kits (480 gallons)
• Delivery: Two (2) shipments of 60 kits
3) Hentzen Coatings, Inc., 2 Gallon Kit
• Each kit shall include the following material:
One (1) gallon (PN: 35565APX)
One (1) gallon (PN: 35503CMU)
• Quantity: 240 kits (480 gallons)
• Delivery: Two (2) shipments of 120 kits
b. Total quantity of material shall be divided in half equally with the first half being shipped no later than October 1, 2024 and the second half being shipped no later than March 1, 2024.
c. The MIL-PRF-85285 Type IV, Fed-Std-595 Gray Color #16515 paint kits shall meet the following specifications:
• Product shall have a minimum of 80% shelf life at the time of delivery.
• Each shipment shall be all the same Lot Number, all the same Batch Number.
• Upon delivery the Contractor shall provide verification and documentation that product(s) are of the same Lot and Batch numbers on a certificate of conformance.
• Contractor shall ensure product(s) are from the same Lot and Batch numbers to prevent color issues.
• Contractor shall ensure there are no mixing variations.
• Contractor shall provide safety data sheets (SDS) and all safety information and documentation required by national safety standards and regulations.
• Contractor shall provided, upon delivery, a chemical inventory. A list (or inventory) of all known hazardous chemicals in the delivery shall be included. The list shall be cross-referenced with the SDSs and shall be kept with this program and SDSs to serve as an index to help employees identify and locate necessary information.
• Contractor shall provide all related safety, health, and environmental regulations specific for the product that is not indicated anywhere else on the SDS. The information may include any national and/or regional regulatory information of the chemical mixtures (including any OSHA, Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, or Consumer Product Safety Commission regulations).
• Contractor shall inspect each product, prior to issuing and delivery, for damage or defects; and ensure that the product has been properly accounted for and listed on the delivery report.
• Contractor shall provide information upon delivery of product of all potential chemical hazards that may be encountered in the use of the product.
