Post Title: Request for Interested Manufacturers AN/ALQ-184 Radio Frequency Switch
SUBJECT:
Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the AN/ALQ-184 Radio Frequency Switch NSN:5985NCC664719, PN: G254058-3.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
This item is integral and critical to the functionality of the AN/ALQ-184 Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Pod. The AN/ALQ-184(V) Electronic Attack (EA) Pod provides primary self-defense against enemy radar-guided air defense systems for the A-10 and F-16 aircraft. Any prospective source will need to ensure their facility and personnel are qualified to generate and handle classified material as this contract will require the source to have access to secure/classified information.
This item is a broadband, solid state electronic switch capable of switching RF input signals at two input ports to any of eight output ports. The switch shall contain integral drivers controlled by binary inputs.
Impediment to Competition:
The original equipment manufacturer for this item is Raytheon (CAGE 49956). The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. Manufacturer Rodelco (CAGE 59926) maintains its configuration by part number and software version. As a result, Rodelco is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the AN/ALQ-184 RF Switch performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment.
INTEREST
The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Rodelco for the manufacture of the RF Switch in support of the AN/ALQ-184 program. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
