Description

On 2 May 2023, in accordance with 10 U.S. Code § 4022, the Army Contracting Command – Orlando has awarded an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) via the Training and Readiness Accelerator II (TReXII) for Cyber Electromagnetic Activity (CEMA) Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) with Intelligent Laboratory Electromagnetic Effects Emulator (CHILEEE) Prototype Project.

A Request for Solutions (RFS) posted to both the government SAM portal, as well as through the TReX website – www.trainingaccelerator.org. 5 July 2022. as a result of the competition, the protoype was awarded to Advance Technology International (ATI) and Geeks and Nerds located in Huntsville AL. The total value of this prototype project, if all milestones and options are exercised, is $50,042,086.51.

The CHILEEE prototype project will develop, demonstrate, assess, and transition a HWIL test capability that puts a SUT in an emulated electromagnetic environment. The environment is augmented with CEMA challenges developed using known SUT specific methodologies. The CHILEEE prototype project seeks to provide automated capabilities to plan, set-up, execute, and analyze DTs in realistic battlefield RF environments that also expose a system to SUT specific CEMA threats. Because CEMA attacks are often tailored to a specific system, CHILEEE will demonstrate a novel approach to automate CEMA attacks developed using automated routines based on known CEMA methodologies.
