Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) on behalf of the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) has entered into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract with Cummins Sales and Service under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) sole Source.
For an emergency repair and to perform annual preventive maintenance (PM) on existing Cummins Emergency Generator at Eastern Navajo Dine Justice Center in Crownpoint, NM.
The contractor shall trouble shoot and repair the emergency generator that is currently shut off. Once repair is done the contractor shall perform annual PM per manufacturers Cummins maintenance plan and ensure the run schedule are per manufacturer specifications. System shall be tested and restored to full operation after PM is performed. Fuel sample will be pulled for each equipment o test fuel quality.
The Cummins generator is solely owned by Cummins Sales and Service, and they are the only company that can do maintenance on the equipment
The anticipated delivery is February 23, 2023.
