Description

This market survey is being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate interest exists among the following Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business Firm categories; self-certified Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), certified Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), certified Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) firms.

The acquisition strategy for this procurement has not been determined at this time; however, a competitive set-aside or direct award may be chosen depending on the responses to this market survey.

The responses to this market survey will be used for information purposes only. This is not a screening information request for proposals of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred associated in preparation or in response to this market survey. No contract of any kind will be created as a result of this Market Survey.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area, Chicago Office has a requirement at the Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) located in Aurora, Illinois to provide the attached scope of work which consists of: 1) Modernize Storm Water Drainage in the Administration Wing Basement, and  2) Modernize the Storm Drainage on the North side of the Automation Wing.   At this time, it is anticipated that the resulting contract will include both scopes of work.  Estimated project cost range is over $650,000.00.

It is preferable that interested firms be located within commuting distance to the Chicago ARTCC.  However, all interested firms are invited to submit their interest in the project.

Interested firms should submit the following documents to the point of contact listed below:

1. Business Declaration form – attached

2.  Capabilities statement

3.  Address your company’s capability to successfully perform this requirement in accordance with the scopes of work attached. Provide listing of projects performed similar to scopes listed above.  Include description of project, dollar value and owner.  Describe any work performed at a 24/7 operational facility.

4.  Provide a statement if your company is under one of the 4 socio-economic categories we are targeting; 8a, SDVOSB, Certified WOSB or EDWOSB, or HUBZone.  Please send verification/certification of same.

5. If you plan to propose a joint venture or other arrangement, please address this in your submittal.


Interested firms are required to submit their written interest in response to this market survey to melody.mcgovern@faa.gov by 3:00pm CDT, Monday, November 25, 2024.
