Notice of Intent to Single Source - GeneXpert Carba-R Kits, StarPaks and collection devises

The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, consisting of the Gallup Service Unit located in Gallup, NM; the Shiprock Service Unit located in Shiprock, NM; the Crownpoint Service Unit located in Crownpoint, NM; the Chinle Service Unit located in Chinle, AZ; and the Kayenta Service Unit located in Kayenta, AZ, intends to negotiate a single source award to Cepheid for GeneXpert Carba-R Kits, StarPaks and Collection Devises.

NAICS 325413 with a small business set aside standard of 1,250 employees applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b), purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold may be solicited from one source if it is determined that the circumstances of the contract deems only one source available.

This notice of intent is not a request for quotations and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies may provide a capability statement. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 2:00 pm MDT on October 27, 2023.

A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition or proceed with a single-source award.
