Description

THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE POSTED ON OR ABOUT JUNE 27, 2022.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Work covered in the Contract Documents generally includes maintenance at the Suntaheen Fish Pass Interpretive Site. Work items include the construction of a new picnic pad and shelter, construction of a new timber boardwalk, construction of new accessible pathways, fabrication/installation of precast concrete steps (stairs), furnish and fabricate site furniture, installation of signs, including interpretive sings, and associated earthwork, clearing, and grubbing. Minimize impacts or potential harm to wildlife, the creek, existing recreation facilities to remain, and the surrounding landscape. The Contractor shall assume all risk, loss, damage, or expense arising out of prosecution of the work, except as otherwise provided in the contract.

PROJECT LOCATION: The project site is located approximately 15 miles southeast of Hoonah, Alaska, on the Hoonah Ranger District, Tongass National Forest.

Contractors shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, supplies (unless specified elsewhere as Government-furnished), and incidentals required to accomplish specified work in compliance with the terms, specifications, and provisions of the contract. Work is estimated to begin August 10, 2022, depending on GAOA funding. Engineering Point of Contact is Rueben Glaves, telephone, 907-828-3219 and email is, Rueben.glaves@usda.gov. Both performance and payment bonds will be required for this project as well as a bid guarantee. Estimated project value is between $250,000 and $500,000 NAICS 238990 size standard $16.5 mil. This project is set aside 100% for small business.
