Description
The General Services Administration, Public Building Service, Greater Southwest Region 7, Acquisition Management Division, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the renovation of the two story office area on the East side of the 1930s DOT warehouse for the relocation of MARAD from the Hale Boggs Building. The work consists of demolition of the interior finishes, partial removal of exterior cladding, and removal of MEP, fire sprinkler and other systems within the area to be renovated. New work includes interior finishes, exterior cladding, MEP systems and fixtures, fire sprinklers, and other systems related to the renovation of the office area. Some minor site work is also included in the work.
This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated construction cost magnitude for all work under this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $45 million. All responsible, qualified firms are encourgaged to submit a proposal. The source selection process and criteria will be based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Process. A site visit will be conducted on July 25, 2024, at 11:00am CST (local time). Details pertaining to the site visit are enclosed in the solicitation. NOTE: This will be the only site visit scheduled. No additioinal site visits willbe scheduled.
Interested firms are encouraged to attend the site visit. The solicitation closing date will be August 29, 2024, at 4:00PM CST (local time).

No telephone requests for documents will be accepted. This solicitation is not a Sealed Bid and there will not be a formal public bid opening. All questions/inquiries or requests for clarifications must be in writing, preferable via email to the persons specified in the solicitation. All answers will be provided in writing and will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation posting.
