Description
Diesel Fuel Conduit Proof Pressure Testing Service--Small Business Set Aside--
Description of Work Requirements as follows:
SCOPE:
The following solicitation is for proof pressure testing to 21,000 PSI of the Diesel Fuel Conduit, PESK-9787. The scope is for the baseline testing of one OEM Diesel Fuel Conduit (P432959N) produced by Fairbanks Morse, and 32 First Article Diesel Fuel Conduits (PESK-9787) produced at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport (eg. 33 proof tests total).
TEST DETAILS:
3.1 Test Item Material: The items to be tested (PESK-9787 and P432959N) will be manufactured from 4340 steel hardened to 33-38 HRC.
3.2 Test Connections: The pressure interface connection from the GFE Diesel Conduit Pressure Testing Fixture, SA7145592, to the vendor’s test equipment shall be a port that will accommodate a commercial Parker Hannefin High Pressure Fitting, connection type F250C (1/4 HP).
3.3 Proof Pressure Test Medium: The medium to be used for proof pressure testing shall be Diesel Fuel Calibration Fluid per ISO 4113.
3.4 Test Gauge/Transducer: The testing gauge/transducer used for measuring the test pressure shall have a full scale range such that the proof test pressure (21,000 psi) falls within 25%-75% of the full scale value for the gauge/transducer. Gauge/Transducer accuracy shall be +/-.1% of the full-scale value for the gauge/transducer.
3.5 Test Pressure: The required proof pressure for all units under test shall be 21,000 +/-200 psi.
3.6 Test Temperature: Ambient temperature during testing shall be from 60°F-80°F
