NOTICE:

This is a Sources Sought notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought notice is published for market research purposes only.

This market survey is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements for providing a rugged cellular gateway system (KLAS Voyager TRX-R2 or equal) for Aviano AB. The part numbers for a product that meets our specifications is listed below as well as key required salient characteristics for better understanding of the needs of Aviano AB and the respondent's potential ability to meet the Government's requirements. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government.

The Contracting Officer will review and consider all responses and/or questions received. However, the Contracting Officer is not required to implement any of the feedback and/or suggestions received. IAW FAR 15.201(c) (4), the Contracting Officer may host one-on-one meetings with any or all potential Offerors who provide an adequate response to the RFI/SS, without further public notice. The responses/feedback received in response to this notice will be used to identify and resolve concerns regarding the acquisition strategy to include feasibility of the requirement, commerciality, and industry standards.

DETAILS:

All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be awarded a DoD contract. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this action is 334290, It and Telecom – End User: Help Desk; Tier 1-2, Workspace, Print, Productivity Tool.

Vendor must be able to provide 4 rugged cellular gateway systems (KLAS Voyager TRX-R2 PN: ANT-RTL-307005-1-1 or equal), with a minimum RAM of 32GB and a compatible extra battery pack:

Must have 4 network ports of which at least 1 port SFP+ 10gbps.

Ability to be powered by KLAS Voyager system.

Ability for 2 SIM cards 

 Minimum RAM 32 GB

With compatible extra battery pack

All interested parties shall submit a capabilities package. Interested contractors shall submit up to a maximum 4-page capabilities document.

The capabilities package shall be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet the stated requirements. The package shall include not only capability, but also a summarized plan of how the capabilities will be met.

Responses to these notices are not offers and cannot/will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.

Prospective contractors are cautioned to ensure that the proper NAICS code appears in their SAM report.

CONCLUSION:

The Government will neither award a contract solely based on this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation, nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. If the Government decides to award a contract for this effort, a solicitation will be issued at a later date.
