Description
Per FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
The Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) aims to provide the American public with an exceptionally talented, highly interdisciplinary scientific community in the USDA’s largest scientific installation, and leverage these resources to envision, create, and improve knowledge and technologies that enhance the capacity of the nation – and the world – to provide its people with healthy crops and animals; clean and renewable natural resources; sustainable agricultural systems; and agricultural commodities and products that are abundant, high-quality, and safe.
BARC’s Safety and Occupational Health Unit (SOHU) utilizes a fire protection system inspection program that is designed to ensure the existing fire protection systems are fully operation. Several buildings on the BARC Campus have been identified as having deficiencies that render the systems inoperable or contain defects that prevent the systems from being tested under the current fire protection system inspection program.
