Description
The JPD CD&MA office seeks to modernize the current M8 Chemical Detection Paper. The current M8 detection paper is used to support troops in identifying CWA liquid contamination. The desired M8 replacement detector will be able to detect and identify the same classes of liquid chemical agent contamination (G, H, V and A) using an eye-readable color change as the basis of detection and classification without any sample or detector preparation. Additionally, it is desirable to have a solution that will successfully identify A-series agents with a unique color change from G, V and H. Improvements over current M8 cross-reactivity and false positive detection issues are desirable. The JPD CD&MA office is requesting additional information from parties with potential solutions describing their capability to detect liquid CWA using simple color-change technologies.
