Description

The Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) is envisioned as a next generation platform with a combination of capabilities that will enable Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) battalions to function as a battlefield manager. The ARV will be a modern combat vehicle system, with an open system architecture, capable of fighting for information, that balances competing capability demands to sense, communicate, move, shoot and remain transportable as part of the Fleet Marine forces. The ARV will provide a balanced set of performance, payload, and protection attributes with sufficient size, weight, & power (SWAP) to accommodate future growth and the development of other variants. As the Government continues to develop and refine requirements in support of the ARV, industry feedback is helpful from industry partners who intend to bid as prime vendors. The lead ARV Mission Role Variant (MRV) will be the Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS).

An Industry Day related to the ARV requirement is intended to be held as a virtual meeting likely via Microsoft Teams as soon as February of 2023. Details regarding this event will follow.

The ARV Industry Day package consists of:

  1. The Draft ARV C4UAS Performance Specification
  2. Government Request for Information (RFI)
  3. MIL-STD-3040
  4. MIL-STD-3057

The RFI and MIL-STD-3040 are attached to this announcement.

The Draft Performance Specification and MIL-STD-3057 will be provided subject to Government receipt and verification of the following:

1.  Need-to-know justification

  • Justification would be considered for firms who intend and provide rationale that supports that they have the capability to propose as a prime contractor in response to a future ARV Engineering and Manufacturing Development Request for Proposal or intend to potentially partner with a prime contractor as a supplier for such a requirement.

2.  Your company's approved and current DD-2345

Entities approved to receive the Performance Specification and MIL-STD-3057 will also be provided the Questions and Answers received in response to this posting.

Recipients of the Performance Specification and MIL-STD-3057 are NOT  authorized to share, distribute or otherwise make available this material to any other company or entity, even a supplier or partner, without explicit, written permission from the Government to do so.
