Description

This is a personal services contract to provide dual strength & conditioning and athletic training support to the US Army Mission Support Battalion (MSB) with particularly emphasis on the Army Warrior Fitness Team (AWFT). The contractor is a licensed/certified professional and subject matter expert in strength & conditioning and athletic training, specifically for working with elite athletes in the sports of CrossFit and weightlifting. The intent is to provide both comprehensive and inter-individualized support to MSB/AWFT
operations. The contractor will inevitably provide MSB with the most state-of-the- art opportunities to compete and optimize ability across the battalion. Contract service provider shall be accountable solely to the Government.

The contractor shall provide dedicated guidance on the tactics, techniques, principles, and practices in strength & conditioning and athletic trainer. This comprehensive and interindividualized support will place MSB/AWFT in the best position possible to compete and optimize ability across the battalion. The contractor would: (a) coordinate, execute, and manage evidence-based strength and conditioning programs at all levels of ability; (b) provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute musculoskeletal conditions before, during, and after PRT in close proximity to where Soldiers train; and (c) provide expert coaching on proper body mechanics and efficient movement techniques in the training and field environment and in consultation with a physical therapist. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract. The contractor must have a bachelor’s and 2- year master’s degree in the appropriate fields and appropriate strength & conditioning certifications for the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
