Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Mid-Atlantic Computer Services, Inc. (Doing Business As (DBA) ProCustom Group), located in Cerritos, CA, for the upgrade of existing US Navy ProCustom Group (AKA Mid Atlantic Computer Services, Inc) laptop computers from P/N 504020-001 to P/N 504020-002. The ProCustom computers are modified GETAC X500 computers. Mid-Atlantic Computer Services, Inc. is the only company that has access to the proprietary technical data. Also, Mid-Atlantic Computer Services, Inc. is the only company authorized to modify and manufacture customized laptops without voiding GETAC's laptop warranty.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
