W065--Notice of Intent to Sole Source OLYMPUS SCOPE LEASE

This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to Sole Source (SS) Special Notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent to sole source and synopsis of proposed action. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16 intends to award a sole-source contract to Olympus America Inc. The contract will be a Firm Fixed award. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is FAR 8.004 as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811210 Electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance, with a small business size standard of $34.0 million, and the FSC/PSC is J065. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and award IAW FAR 13.5 a sole source firm fixed award to provide a lease and service plan for 3 Olympus flexible video HD Rhino Laryngoscopes and 3 Flexible ultra thin video Rhino Lyrangoscopes along with all support equipment for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd; Houston, Texas 77030. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by 1:00 PM CST August 29, 2024, via email to Andrew Misfeldt at andrew.misfeldt@va.gov. All responses received by the closing date specified herein will be considered by the Government, any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can provide the same services by the required date.
