Description

DLA Troop Support is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for the following:

Nomenclature: Cup, Water Canteen

NSN: 8465-00-165-6838

The applicable specification is MIL-C-43761C dated March 25, 1988.

The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as “The Berry Amendment”) impose restrictions on the DoD’s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.

The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 315990 – Apparel Accessories and Other Apparel Manufacturing.

This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information:
