Propulsion Shaft Couplings for the National Security Cutter

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to SKF USA Inc. (SKF), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), for one (1) propulsion shaft coupling shipset used on the National Security Cutter (NSC). This synopsis is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. It is a notice that outlines the Government's intent to contract on a sole source basis with SKF. The Government has determined that SKF is the only source able to successfully provide these items. Concerns interested should identify their capability, as well as, include a letter from the OEM verifying the concern is an authorized distributor. This information must be submitted to the Contracting Officer, Nichol Fitzpatrick, nichol.a.fitzpatrick@uscg.mil, no later than 12:00 pm EST, 30 June 2023. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
